C++ crash

I keep getting this error when I try to create a C++ project (screenshot attached). I updated Visual Studio and Unreal Engine to the latest versions and installed the plugins I saw in most of the videos. But I still can't find the cause of the problem. Can you help?

Hi,

First, you are storing your project in OneDrive - that is a big massive no. It tends to corrupt your projects.

Second, Unreal doesn’t support non ASCII characters in the file path so only A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and a few other characters like _ or -

Lastly, you have a lack of RAM on your PC so in spite of having up to 20 cores for building, it can only use 1. For a 20 core system, you really need 64GB of RAM and ideally 128GB to maximise performance as it needs 1.5GB free per core and you are reporting about 650Mb, about 1/2 the needed RAM for a single core. Pay attention to Unreal’s requirements. There are minimum and there’s actual requirements. Actual is 64GB+ Ram (epic uses 256GB), a dedicated GPU with 12+GB of VRAM and more is better, a CPU with and ideally a clock speed of 4Ghz+ such as an i7 or i9, or Core Ultra CPUs and AMD equivalent, and 2 SSDs, one with your OS and Engine, the other for projects.

Aside from that, I see your project has files called Horror…cpp etc, so I am assuming not a GameDev TV course related question. We don’t normally help out with questions outside of courses here.

Good luck

Please excuse my behavior. This is my first time using this forum site. After setting the quality preset to scalable, I think everything was fixed. No warning appeared. Thank you for your efforts. Regards.
