In the lesson when using the vertical layout group his buttons auto fit the screen. As you can see this is not working for me.

Unforunately, I cannot see any problem in your screenshot. The two buttons are vertically aligned within the box. If you add a 4-5 more buttons, you’ll see how the VerticalLayoutGroup works. Admittedly, the mechanics of this component is not easy to grasp. Without knowing how the result should look, it is impossible to tell what you could do to solve your problem.
Just deleted it and redid it and it worked
