BullCowGame could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually

Hello, I was trying to complete the Unreal Engine epic game course on udemy and in the course there is a file that we need to download called BullCowGame-starter-kit. However when I try to open it i keep getting this error message “BullCowGame could not be compiled. Try rebuilding from source manually”. I have the Visual Studio 2022 community and Visual Studio code 2022.

I have also tried “Set Current” and “Verify” on EpicGames on Unreal Engines as suggested from other replies about the same issue.

Sorry but this is not compatible with Unreal 5.it is archived content so you’d need to adapt any provided code as it was probably created for versions as old as 4.22

Also, unreal is not compatible with the MSVC you have installed. I saw 14.42 in the log and it telling you to use 14.38. You need to downgrade this in the visual studio installer.
