UPDATE: SOLVED
Please help,
using Unreal 4.22.3 on Windows 10 PC
I’m currently at the end of Section - 39. Controlling The Viewport.
In the video the instructor says that tab should access the terminal. However it does nothing. When pressing tab there is no change to the terminal, and other keys do not display.
I’ve ran another build, and compiled again, deleted the binaries and built again. Nothing seems to fix this. I’m a beginner to unreal and am struggling to trouble shoot on my own.
Have you opened the Terminal BP? Check to make sure the node is still connected. Also I thought it wasn’t working when I did it myself, felt like I had to press it a bunch of times, but as a note that you can still move around your camera while playing.
SOLVED:
It appears I had to activate the camera before using tab…
tab will not activate the terminal until after I right click to activate camera.
Activating camera let me use tab to use the terminal. Thank you!!
Your welcome good luck on the rest of the section.You can also turn on that when you press play that it places your input right away. It will be in your editor setting under the play options.
