Some nice shiny bits and shadows. Reminds me of my early 2000’s web icon drawing days. As most of the highlight spots and all the shadows where straight lines I used the line draw tool. I drew a broad stroke in all the areas, then reduced my brush to half the size and went over the appropriate part to make shinier or darker with a second stroke.
Knowing the drawstrings would be coming later, I left room for them to be inserted. I then just colored over them with a boot brown. I didn’t want to overlap incase I decide to change the color later. I’d probably flood fill then wonder what happened to my boots.
