It’s good to be doing another Gamedev course – this is my first post on the Unreal course but I’m enjoying it so far!
I had an idea that I wanted to try for this blocking out challenge: escaping from a room that could be within some desert ruins:
Michael made a rather cool shape when demonstrating BSP geometry, which inspired me to build a little hidden passage behind a centerpiece (the cone above).
My plan for future challenges is to have that part of the room shrouded in darkness, then toggle on a light to illuminate the passage and way out. I’m sure we’ll be expanding the whole level a lot more later in the section.
