So i’m doing the blender anime character course and whenever i want to paint the top part of the drawstring it paints on the other side of it!

Did you check the face orientation, sounds like you face you wanna paint is flipped.
Go edit mode select all faces and press Shift+N, now all faces should face the right way! try to paint again.

There is another option.
Go to edit mode, select the face you want to paint
than go to Paint mode an enable the paint mask
now you can only paint the selected face!!!

I thought that this might be the problem but i’ve had no idea how to flip the faces thank you for the help!
