Bridging Edge Loops needs needs joining first

I was trying to remove intersecting geometry from my pawn but running into this error “Select at least two edge loops”. This StackExchange post explained that the separate meshes have to be joined first. That solved the problem for me but I just wanted to raise that it is different from the lecture notes and video.

What lecture section, number is it?

Supprising if wrong, as you found out it is well known verts have to be in the same object to interact like that.

Sorry my bad, I checked again and in Section 4, lecture 75 at 10:45 in the video you can see that the objects had already been joined before. Mine were still separate.
