I tried getting a wood texture in there but the image wouldn’t display correctly by pinching towards a point instead of laying flat. I thought maybe I could edit the UVs but, needless to say, I could not figure out the UV editor as nothing I changed effected the model. Of course, I was also lazy and just grabbed an image from my computer instead of making it a square/power of 2 image. So maybe that had something to do with it.

Yes you need to use prepared textures really, until you can make your own. Plenty out there free to download.
However all looking fine for this stage in the course.
