They are not floating in scene only when rendered.
Its likely this is a shadows issue, Try adjusting the clip start on the lighting and see if it helps
In Eevee you need to switch on some options, like ambient occlusion, in the render options tab.
Also your foot of the pin is too round (sphere like)>
Move pins more into the ground level (z-ax down).
