I’ve attached two images. One that only goes as far as the tutorial, without smoothing with a modifier and smooth shading. And the second with the modifier and smooth shading. I’ve kept both .blend files in case my ‘jumping ahead’ creates trouble for me w/ collision meshes, etc.
