Bowling Pin Bezier

OK, I “struggled” a bit here, mainly due to perfectionism I guess …

I tried with 4 points, which resulted in this:

This in fact is OK, but it doesn’t “look stable”. As was mentioned in the video, you can make the bottom a bit wider … But then the pin didn’t feel right to me, it felt more like a bottle than a bowling pin. If I recall, there are several techniques to make parts “less curvy”, but for now, I just moved the bottom vertex away from the Z-axis (but keep the control horizontal) … Then I added a 5th vertex again at the center, which gave me a physically, mathematically flat surface on which the pin is standing … This lead to:

This also removed the “strange indent” I earlier had at the bottom of the pin, plus: contrary to what was said in the video, in my final version I do have a vertex at the “belly” of the pin. My reasoning: this ensures me that I have the correct measurement of the pin, i.e., research told me that it had to be 12cm in diameter, so this vertex allows me to enforce this (and the reference image was remarkably accurate for this).
