So, because I was in a slightly whimsical mood, my icosphere bowling ball turned into this:
I also don’t remember being introduced to the quad sphere last time I was doing this course, so I decided to go ahead and create a bowling ball with that, just to see how much more work it would be and get a feel for what sort of circumstances might make it pretty useful (like quickly modelling a low-poly lamp, with extrusions in/out for decorative details).
Unfortunately in the process of bringing it back under the 10k tri limit a few artifacts snuck in - could probably have been avoided if I hadn’t applied the surface subdivision at the point/level that I did. Oh well, live and learn
