My bowling ball. I went for a subdivision modifier of 2 and added a Mean Crease to the inner edges of the holes of 0.60. This kept the border nice and clean.
There is also a loop cut at the bottom of each hole to keep them a bit more like cylinders instead of cones. Not visible on the picture, but I figured it might add to my enjoyment of the ball once it might be used for animation.
