I had ALL sorts of problems last night trying to get this to work. My Inset tool wasn’t working and I had to use Extrude and Scale instead… then I was still getting the horrible geometry no matter what. Went to sleep - undid everything - saved, quit, rebooted computer, Blender… and most probably BRAIN… and after a few minor issues related to picking the correct mode, e.g. faces or edges, I got there. YAY!!!
2 more to go… Amazing what rebooting body, mind and computer can do!
