Bottom left menu not showing up

I’m having an issue in Complete Blender Creator 3: Learn 3D Modelling for Beginners

Course 25 - Snapping

Similar to a closed topic below, however, I don’t have the bottom left menu as described in the solution. I’ve heard this goes away permanently after changes are applied, but I don’t know what changes I could have applied. When I hit G to move in object mode the menu doesn’t appear.

Thanks for any help!

At first I thought you were talking about the contextual menu for newly-added primitives (“unmodified elemental shapes”), because that one is gone forever for a particular object once modified in any way. This is something different, and this is something you can get back =)

What Ray is actually showing there is the Move contextual menu (probably not the official name, but it is indeed contextual) - a different menu that appears in the same place. A quick test suggests that this will appear once you have completed any grab operation with the object. Not sure exactly why you first have to arbitrarily move something to make the menu appear (others probably know better than I would), but either way, that should get you to the setting.

Nailed it! Thank you so much!

I feel silly not having tried to test that, but I guess I assumed I would’ve gone too far.

Always more to learn! Let’s go!
