I just completed the boolean cutout on the bishops hat. I actually used the boolean twice. First i created a cutout shape using the bezier curve, created a shape for the cutout. Then the first boolean to notch out that shape. The second boolean was for the cutout shape in the bishop piece. Here is the end result. I have not applied the modifiers yet. I will before continuing onto lecture 80.

You can also save it to a backup file. before doing something destructive.

It is. I followed the contour of the reference photo. The point for me was to use the bezier so i didn’t forget how to do it. For the purpose of the project I am going back and making a less fancy notch to maintain the low poly image.
