Bones not connected

I’m not sure why, but for some reason the bones in the body aren’t connected to eachother.
I’m not sure what I did wrong - the bones in the arms and the bones in the legs are connected to eachother as well as the bones they were parented to (the leg bones are attached to the lower body bone, arm bones are parented to the bone in the center) just the lower two body bones aren’t attached to eachother and the upper three aren’t attached to the lower two.
Would love some advice on how to fix this, my furthest save before this point already has the problem present.

Edit: I’ve remedied the situation by parenting the bones to eachother manually, interestingly, doing the parenting manually seemed to undo existing parenting. That being, the upper three body bones became unattached from eachother when I set the lower bones to parent them - but that was also fixed as I redid the parenting chain going up.
I’m not sure if this is the proper fix for whatever happened, but it looks like it’ll work for the animation. I would love if someone could help me figure out what caused this so I can avoid it in the future.
Another update: I also went through and set the bones as connected to eachother in the bone properties so I’m not getting any odd disconnections when moving them.

This is very difficult to say when the way of working was unclear.
Primarily due to user error.
Even if you did the instructions step by step.
It’s easy to miss an instruction or press the wrong hot key.

Save regularly, in the “save as” there is a handy version number increase button.

Yeah, I’m guessing I must have missed something somewhere. I’ll probably go back through the lesson to see if I can figure out what I did wrong - I wasn’t sure if this was potentially a common problem with a clear cause.
In any case I seem to have gotten it working, at the very least, thus far it’s working properly for the animation.
I created a chain of parenting starting from the bottom (lower body) bone then connected all of the bones to their parents - aside from the two lower body bones since connecting those two broke their functionality.
I’m not sure if that’s how the bone layout should be but I’ll see if I can figure it out going through the lesson again and update if I can figure out what I did wrong.

Where can I find the version number increase button? I never noticed that before.

At the bottom of the save as screen. The last number the 3 in this case, will go up to a 4 if pressed and then can be saved.
