Bone Manipulation is disabled in this mode

I’m adding the Two Bone IK node and trying to control the end effectors but cannot. I’m getting this posts title as an error under the Previewing ‘Fistpersonanim_bp’ text as soon as I come into the anim graph. Adding hand_l as the IK bone does not get me a vector hadndle in the preview window initially, but when I click back on the node in the graph I do, but cannot do anything with it.
