BLOCK SMASHER! I took this game a bit further than what you guys taught and implemented things like:

  • Extra lives
  • Collectible coins (earn $500 for a one-up)
  • Special ball types (ie. break any brick including unbreakable bricks in one hit, multiple balls)
  • A rules screen

I’m a complete beginner coder but as you said, beginners can do great at your course if we put the time and effort in to do more than just the basics. This is me fulfilling that goal!

I’m doing a similar kind of thing by adding more things. I’m trying to find how to have random drops from bricks like a secondary ball and extra lives. Just need to look up the coding.
