Blender to Unity Animation Guide

Hey there! I think a great topic for a bite-size course would be creating a simple character in Blender (could be a boxed out character similar to the Low-Poly character bite-size course) then give them maybe a walking animation and a punching animation and show us how to port the character and animations into Unity and how to call those animations in Unity.

I know this is kind of covered in the Blender Character creator V 2.0 course but it’s pretty deep into that lesson. Would be nice if this information could be covered with an easier/simpler model.

I know I really struggle with creating these animations with bones and would love to know a better method for it, and a straightforward guide/lesson on how to use the Animator controller in Unity.

Thanks for reading!

Yes, I’ve been advocating (for years) for more asset pipeline related stuff.
