Blender for modding the Elder Scrolls

Hello everybody. Just purchased this course today. The last two months I’ve put my hand towards many free tutorials on Youtube and I wanted to dive into a full fledged course.

My main goal for learning 3d modeling in Blender is to model for my favorite series of all time, The Elder Scrolls. I have also long been interested in having some sort of creative outlet for all the fantastic ideas in my head, and I hope 3d modeling will be that outlet that I need.

If anyone else is a fan of the Elder Scrolls, let me know. I’d be happy to talk your ear off about it. If you have any tips and tricks, please share. And maybe some day in the future we can put our heads together and make fantastic resources for a mod!

Elder Scrolls is what introduced me into Blender. I have been wanting to make mods for Skyrim in particular. I love the games. and eventually want to make games myself!

I guess we’re in a similar boat then. Right now I am focusing on modding for Morrowind (I want to help with the Tamriel Rebuilt project), but I hope to mod for Daggerfall Unity, Oblivion, and Skyrim in the future (and TES VI, if old age hasn’t claimed me by then - lol).

I don’t have any career oriented goals with learning Blender, I just wanted to do this as a hobby. But good luck on pursuing a career in the gaming industry! Either way, 3D modelers are in high demand and you’ll see the skill go far both in and outside the games industry.

Question: Favorite Daedric Prince?

Answer: Hermaeus Mora
Because knowledge is true power. and because he/it is a giant tentacle eye thing when speaking to the people of Nirn. Though Molag Bal is pretty awesome too. I too wanted to help with Tamriel Rebuilt project, but I know I have a lot of learning to do before then.
