Blender doesn't start, cmd runs infinitely

Heya!

I just started the lecture but already installed Blender 2.78 previously which worked flawlessly. By the time I got here and started Blender however I saw the command prompt running infinitely and nothing happened.

Nor the problem or the solution seem to be posted here (Did I miss it?) so just to be safe I share what worked for me in case someone would encounter the same problem.

OS and VGA: Windows 10 Professional, Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB

Solution

I tried a lot of things but nothing worked, expect installing the newly arrived nVidia Game ready driver. Since then Blender opens like a dream.
