Blender Character Creator - Retopology Section, Lecture 8 Problem

So when I hit apply to base on the Multires modifier on the the Belt and then go and check the mesh on edit mode I notice that it’s size is a lot bigger. This doesn’t happen when I do the same on the wrist shackle.

Would like to know why this is happening. Any help is appreciated.

The first thing to check would be the scale is applied to the belt.

Can you plz pull up Multires Modifier Details in the first two also?

Not getting much from the screenshots.

The basics behind Apply base is that it modifies the original unsubdivided mesh to match the form of the subdivided mesh.

Would you like to give a look around this?

I understand the concept behind apply base and googling I have found other people with a similar bug in which the base mesh “inflates” after Applying base. Well… If I find a solution I will let you know.
