I made my mech from a single mesh instead of by pieces.

That mech looks like it’s ready to take off at about 60mph and destroy anything in its path

I love your mech! xxx jess

is it better to use one mesh? loves xxx jess. ps what is a moderator? xxx jess.

It’s someone whom is a guide of sorts on the forums, gives feedback and ensures policy and rules are followed. They are typically appointed due to being well involved in the community as well as displaying good character in regards to mannerism and ability to follow rules/policies.

That’s my take on it at least, hope it helped.

Make it from a single mesh is usually less resources intensive as usually, game engines only need to make a draw call in order to render them.

It can also be more resource intensive if it is used in very large models like landscapes as even if a very small fraction of a mesh is on camera the whole mesh need to be draw and take into account in every calculation for reflections, shading etc, so, answering your question, it is better or worse depending on the specific situation.

I hope that made sense.
