Blender 5.0 is here! Will the courses be updated?

Hello team :waving_hand:t2:,

Since the early days of gamedev.tv these courses got updated with each major version updates so will we have another update for Blender 5.0?

I imagine it will but most of the courses have just recently been updated. It is always better to stay behind as with a new major release there will be plenty of bugs. Stick with 4.5 until at least 5.1 I’d say, or at least 5.0.1

Unless there’s major differences, major new features or a complete UI redesign, I can’t think of a reason to update some of the courses at least.

Agreed. I never take the first of any update and wait at least until the .1 version.

Blender are very good generally but it is complex software and especially the big community of pro users are good at finding and reporting bugs or issues and they do then get fixed.

Courses tend to be updated if there are a lot of changes for beginner relevant functions. If only a few items like a shortcut or two change, then inserts can be sufficient.
