Blender 2.8 is very difficult in comparison to 2.79. It is like learning a new program. I hate it that the workflow is so different and that I can´t do things, that I can in 2.79 and I am a beginner once again.
I like the way I can work with light in 2.8 and it is very interesting to experiment with different lighting situations and see all the changes in real time.

i think the learning curve is worth the new features. working with lighting in real time is amazing. my architectural renders that took overnight are now done in seconds…
the learning is it really worth, no doubt. and what you said, sounds amazing. 
maybe I have to buy a new computer, because my i3 gets very hot while rendering…
You might be able to find some alternative cooling solutions too that may be cheaper, you mentioned before your keyboard was getting hot too so I’m guessing your using a laptop? Assuming so, you can get things like these;
Just extra fans at the end of the day.
