Blender 2.78a Tutorial 11 - Resize help

Ben was showing the video about transform, rotate, and scale, right after that a resize tab popped on the tutorial, It didn’t show up for me. I looked up resize in the user manual and for some reason i can’t find it, and keyboard shortcut seems i can’t find that either.

it is the one that has.
Vector x,y,z
constraint Axis x,y,x
orientation
proportional Editing.

Hi William! I’m new to this as well, so apologies if you’ve already tried this or I’m misunderstanding what you’re asking! When I launch Blender with a fresh instance I’m presented with the cube in the centre of the screen and the default layout. At the bottom of the ‘Tool Shelf’ on the left hand side of the screen I can see four sections:

  1. Transform
  2. Edit
  3. History
  4. Operator

If I select ‘Scale’ from the Transform section, move the mouse to resize the cube and left-click the mouse the ‘Operator’ section changes to “Resize” which I believe is the section you are looking for. I’m not sure if there is a shortcut for this, as it seems to be part of the Tool Shelf which is keyboard shortcut ‘T’.

One thing to double check is covered in the Lesson 11 video at 3m 42s which shows what to do if the operator panel is hidden. Let us know how you get on!

I had to re watch the video, see he is using a MAC and i am on PC, i didn’t see the letters on the bottom of the video when he was doing that part of the model.

i got it to work…
