Might be worth creating a bite sized course of how to export something like this into a game ready object.

Not sure what you want to say?
Because export is just export and uses the international standard of .fbx
for 3D exchange.
You should look into the .fbx
definition.
And I think it’s more a 3D game engine question.
I think that’s the point I was trying to make, it’s not that simple as materials need to be thought about and the direction of the object. As per the character creator course.
So something that is short and punchy taking us through the basics and what to look out for would work well.
Trouble is for a Blender course there are several different game engines. Then games are only a small part of Blender uses.
I agree, in effect there should be some specific course or section in each game engine course on how to get models out of Blender into that engine. It needs very little Blender use, its all about the destination. If the Game engine user then wants to learn the way to make the models then that is a Blender course. It’s the overlap that needs covering. In my opinion, not in the Blender courses, as it is irrelevant to most, especially when divided between engines. It is about the needs of the receiving engine.
