Bishops pre-slot - I went high poly obviously . Shape wise initially inspired by a Russian set I found pictures of, but went simpler and after one of the lessons on geometry simplification removed edges selectively going down the model which gives the squared look.
The material is a mix of two simple shaders using a technique I found on Jan van den Hemel’s excellent Blender Secrets YouTube channel - thoroughly recommended (and his set of Blender Secrets PDF books). Essentially two shaders mixed based on a colour ramp driven by the pointiness of the geometry. Gives a fantastic effect (though only works in Cycles). Can add a link if allowed?
