Not completely satisfied with the notch itself, but overall I’m feeling quite good about the low poly model! Final triangle count at 376. 
that’s really nice! I think it’s better if the little sphere on top was whole and not cut in half
but that’s all up to your decision 
Thank you, Sagi! Yeah, it was a cool thought in theory (and I liked the partial bauble in the reference material), but there just wasn’t enough geometry to get it to pan out like I wanted.
I was initially trying to add much more curve to the notch but things got messy fast.
