Bezier curve lacks geometry

This has happened since the first time I used Bezier curves. For some reason or another my Bezier curves lack all visible and manipulatable geometry. Although I have looked online I have yet to find any solution to this problem. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the added image. You are seeing all you would expect to see in Object mode.

Go to edit mode to see the vertexes and handles to control the bezier curve.

Don’t I feel sheepish. Ok so it’s manipulatable now but it’s still lacking the . . . well let me show you.

I can work with out it but it would be nice to have them.

Activate Normal on Bezier Curve in Edit Mode as in this screen shot to get your handles!

Hope this helps
