I literally laughed out loud when he said that. I’m just glad I am nerdy enough to grasp all these concepts, because I really love what were accomplishing in this course and what I am learning.
The concept of Tau and how a wave graph is as if the perimeter of a circle was being traced while moving forward in a straight line; it makes sense. If I ever forget how to write out the exact formula, I can always figure it out by remembering this one thing.
The brief tangents explaining the “behind-the-scenes” math is well worth it because what good does it do to memorize something if, in the event you forget it months later (which is likely), you have no real understanding of what you did and thus cannot come up with the solution yourself.
