Can you be more specific about the Player Experience? What is the aspect of old school pen and paper that the player will feel? Is it the complexity of the stats and calculations, is it the freedom to role player, etc? In those examples, the experience would be “complexity” and “freedom”.
Great question! I hope to capture the magic of what I felt as a kid in the 80’s playing d&d as well as the earliest rpg computer games (bards tale, pool of radiance, Wizadry etc). I think story had a lot to do with it…I’m going to have to think more about that.
