First try, using thee proportions viewed in the course, but no reference material. It’s amazing how difficult it is to draw something from memory, something we se all day long on other people also!
The second I looked for smiles on google and went with the reference, but still using the proportions from the course, but with more flexibility and free style. I found it helps a lot to draw the surroundings of the mouth to really get the shape of it all.
