This lamp section was fairly challenging, I must admit, but doubled as being most fun indeed, and rewarding. Heck, I’m not even finished Section 5, but don’t mind offering encouragement to those who’ve yet to begin (I’ll tell myself all this as I move onward to the animation portion). Stick with it all the way through the hurdles because it is worth it. Remember that you are at the beginning of a journey with a relatively steep learning curve. Mistakes offer opportunities to learn. I made loads of mistakes and had to watch some of the lectures several times each so as to grasp the intricacies of some of the various steps.
Blender is akin to a giant bag of toys, so make sure to have fun as you try to play with them all.
