This is al pretty new to me, but very interesting! So thanks for the explanation! For me what made it especially clear is if you add this row in the main
valRef = val2;
printVals();
When you do this the values of valRef willl change into 3(if you add it as the final row.) But the Address will still be of val.
It sounds simple, but that was a breakthrough moment for me 
just wanted to share it.
