Took it for a slightly different spin. Used 14 frames here instead (making the milliseconds between frames about 143 to make duration 2 seconds).

Wow! A lot of people have done an excellent job on this first animation. Mine is simple, but I tried to incorporate the acceleration of gravity and got the shading to change a little.

Here’s my take on the ball with 10 frames with 200 ms delay.

I decided to also make a smoother animation by doubling the frames and halving the delay time to see the difference!

Added some ‘portals’ since gifs repeat forever. I did end up going to 13 frames, but I didn’t really want to rework everything since this was just an exercise. Fun one!

As others have said it’s hard to get it to look smooth with 10 frames and at such a low framerate.

I didn’t do anything fancy with shading to make it look 3D but added a shadow instead to create that sort of effect.

Bounce loop - decided to make the ball disappear to one side and reappear from the other.
