I’m not sure to understand your nodes. Why the Eyes Image Texture as the factor for the mix shader of the body ?
It’s basically what was shown in the tutorial by Michael. The “Eyes” map basically helps to define what parts are going to get the glossy shader, and to what extent, since only the eyes have a non-zero value (white) then that would mean only the eyes get to have the glossy shader applied.
