Baking 1st step error

Hi friends!!
Started with the baking step today. But got struck in the first step. While I try to hit the bake button, it says ‘No valid selected objects’. I don’t know where I am wrong. It would be helpful if I get any guidance in this case. Thanks in advance.

Have you selected BOTH the high poly and the low poly Orc?
Is selected to active ticked in the Bake panel?

yes. I did. I selected both the High poly and retopologized version and checked the ‘selected to active’ in Bake section.

Are both objects visible to both the viewport and the render?

yes. it is. I tried out the whole baking process again. And this time, I was able to bake. But again, I dont know what is the mistake… it I hide the High poly version after the baking process, I can’t find any information got on my low poly. It is still the same. I am fully confused. I have uploaded the pictures of baking results and the picture of the low poly version after baking(which didn’t take any details from high poly after baking).

Bake looks good.
If that node is the normals node it is not plugged in! Can it be that simple?
Needs to go through a normal Map node too.

Yes. I noted that. I found out few silly errors, and was able to do my normal maps baking. and this is the output. But still, there are few errors which I couldn’t fix. I have given both the images of normal map baking and the image showing the weird patches.

Those patches are strange. It does not look like something that different ray distance or Extrusions would alter. I suspect one or other of the models has some normals messed up. Or some such mesh glitch as the general overall bake looks good.
Time it has the colours on it, and being round the back and side I doubt it will be noticeable.

You might be able to identify the places on the normal map and see it there is an odd part that could be hand painted in like the areas next to it.
