Backdrop for Lamp


I’m going to have the scene take place in a abandoned warehouse, with more background pieces eventually thrown in. Hopefully I can have the lamp jump on the ball, bounce a few times then smack his head on the box making the scene darker because his bulb burnt out. I’m waiting to find out if that’s way to ambitious or not ambitious enough at this point lol

Every Blender journey is ambitious :wink:
Keep it simple, start with the basics. Gradually work on the details. What will be the most important thing in your scene? Focus on that, the viewer will too. Test lighting upfront, as you said. With and without the lamp. What other lights do you need? A warehouse has big lamps hanging from the ceiling. How much light to they submit …

Dim Overhead lamp added in the next section good sir, thank you. Getting into the swing of my personal workflow, I like to add just enough non-essential details to visualize what I want then slowly add them in as other parts of the project get done. I’m having fun with this one :slight_smile:
