Attaching weapon causes movement to mess up

Hi I am following along the course but using the Synty Assets. As soon as I attach the weapon to the player when I press the W key the character moves sort of forward and to the right and when I press the D key he moves backwards and slightly left.

When I comment out the weapon code the player moves correctly as would be expected. I have deleted the class I have re done the project :slight_smile: and It still does it.

Has anyone come across this before ? And Manged to solve it.

So to be crystal clear, if you don’t spawn and attach the gun the movement is perfectly fine? I ask as I’m not entirely sure what would cause that. Is this with a custom mesh? Would you mind also showing your code?

I just figured this one out. I was using a staticmeshComponent version not the skeletalmeshcomponent. now works ok
