Thanks, I saw a tool in the asset store that makes a game a screensaver thought about trying it out. My second option was to make a web gl version, so it could kinda act like a screen saver but in the browser? We shall see. Concept for scene 2 lost temple theme just started

I’m still working on the design, it will take a while, but from all my ideas this one seems to be the one with the best hook.

I’m planning to do a 3d fishing game where the player is a space merchant in a universe similar to the The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy story, the objective is to progress through a few different water predominant planets and catch the fishes that lives there. I already have a story in mind and still trying to design in a way to reduce as much as possible the work that I will have to do.

I’m aiming at colorful visuals similar to borderlands but less polished.

I’ll probably start with only regular fishing mechanics and in a flat map, you will be fishing on top of the ship or in the environment terrain. I probably won’t be doing the underwater at first because it would probably require too much art, but I’m thinking about adding aquariums within the ship.

Love the idea and story line so far . It sounds like it will be a fun and interesting game. Water based planets and different fish species on each planet would be great. Yeah I’m not a artist I try to use camera tricks to give my aquarium more depth and play with some lighting and materials effects. Best of luck on your project hope it turns out well.

Last Map of my 3 level aquarium Simulator- Murky Sands- kinda like a dirty lake or muggy water scene. Probably add some Brown fish, and Sardine fish- if i can find a free tad pole prefab I’ll probably add that in there 2. Then a short credit screen for the main menu and that’s about it as i have to get back to my horror game ive been working on. Just wanted to make a short Virtual fishtank with 3 maps in unity. Concept so far until i add the fish and some other background scenery-

That’s awesome!
Have you tried adding some post processing? There’s an standard unity asset for that, it really takes the graphics one step further

ive added a little image effects but im sure there are some more settings i can turn on and adjust.

Alright added all 3 scenes for this short aquarium simulator game i made. game can be downloaded from here. FYI- This is basically a Virtual fish tank all you can do is change the scene and watch the fish swim. Use it as something to go to sleep to like an ambient source of music or a virtual fish tank, or launch the game and use it as a screensaver. Toggle the menu with the Escape esc Key
