Do any of you have director, or indirect experience with Uniregistry?
If so I’d love to hear it here as they are super-keen to help us offer you great domain names through a variety of registrars (they’re a wholesaler)
Thanks!

Never used them (that I’m aware of), sorry…
Just tried these though…
robs.games - $19.98 - run of the mill kinda of price for 1 year
robs.game - $1,430.00 - eh hem… sorry, choking, money… for… words… referencing… numbers… gah!
Thanks Rob, I’m now talking about domains in general, not just .game.
I wonder who would be interested in buying domains / domain packages via GameDev.tv for a discount, and for a layer of better service?
Ah I see.
Personally I have always used the same company and haven’t experieneced any problems but have seen that their prices have risen over the years, .co.uk always used to be incredibly cheap for example.
The two things that spring to mind are;
Taking 123-reg as an example, I know I can register the name and be all sorted in a matter of hours (domain name propagation). I did used rheir sister company Webfusion for hosting a very long time ago, but other than that I havent ever had a need to contact them for supoort as everything was driven through the website. For someone completely new to names and hosting the most confusing part may be changinf the DNS entries but even this is done online with them and the new hosting providers often advise how to change it.
So with that, whilst I would be happy to use GameDev.tv for example, for me it would come down to prices and the expectation of aervice would be no less than previous experience.
Hosting however, now I have a host and I am.miffed to pay the $50 per year, primarily because I used to run my own business and servers from home and that was perfect for my needs at the time, thus its hard to see the value for money, especially when every little addition may cost more. Sub-domains are a specific ball-ache in how they are managed. For hosting there would be more focus on service for myself combined with value for money and flexibility.
