Another Way to Set Origin: Cursor to Selected

There’s another way to set the origin to a specific part of the mesh’s geometry:

1.First, we want to set the 3D cursor where we want the origin to go. Go into edit mode. Select the geometry in the mesh you want to set the origin to. In this case, I set the select mode to “Edge Select Mode” and then selected the bottom edge of the reed
2. Press “Shift + S” to bring up the snap menu. Select “Cursor to Selected”. This will move the 3D cursor to the centroid of the current selection
3. Go back into object mode. Select the object and right click it to bring up the menu. Go to “Set Origin → Origin to 3D Cursor”.
