I tried to give the draw string a 3D effect by rotating the beveled parts of the draw string to make it look laced.
I played around with the selection tool and added some eyelets to the shirt.
^ here the tori have a circular plane, which has the skin texture. Maybe not needed - it is more an experiment.
To avoid the tori to snap to the string, set the string as non-selectable. Turning on Exclude Non-Selectable allowed placing the tori onto the shirt.
