Animator displaying differently for me?

At the start of the video Sam has the game playing with the animator window open. On his animator he has a progress bar constantly updating on the Locomotion state and when he presses the attack trigger it seems to clear itself.

In my version of Unity 2021.3.8f1 I don’t get the looping progress bar even though my character is animating correctly in the scene and the attack trigger doesn’t clear itself, I have to click it manually to clear and again to retrigger. Any ideas?

You have to have the game object with the animator selected for the animator window to ‘run’
