Animations jerks into place at last frame

I have a character I’m animating. It was working fine before, but sometimes I have this problem:

Instead of moving smoothly between key frames, it barely moves at all on the first few key frames, then jerks into place on the last one. I’m looking at the pelvis bone, which controls the rotation of the torso. (Not the arm, which is working fine)

I tried using different interpolation modes and that doesn’t change anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve not any clue!

  • Are you sure you see all the animation parameters, and not hiding some of them to improve UI?
  • Select the graph editor and see if your graphs are nice and smooth-lined. In 2D art, we use something like ‘constant’ mode, where the graph is not curved but horizontal.
  • maybe you’ve changed the animation frame rate for rendering …

so many features in Blender …

Add a mid way keyframe?

I think they’re may just not be enough frames on the timeline for the movement you’re trying to show. I’d try adding another keyframe as NP5 suggests, if you haven’t tried it out yet.
