When I preview the animation, my character is pink. Totally confused here. 1) I thought materials rendered pink when the materials were created with an older pipeline. 2) but there are no materials nor characters in this downloaded fbx, right? 3) and where did the bald guy in your animation (and @PaulB7538 come from?
Sorry @gmw I am confused by what you mean? The Pink bald character in the animation preview window was the default unity model
If that screenshot is from me, I would of clicked and dropped the actual prefab in later…
If I can help more please let me know…
Thanks Paul for your response. Sorry for any confusion. The screenshot is mine.
All I’m saying is that is following Hugo’s video, the animation preview shows a bald guy rather than a pink guy. (I just happened to notice that your post visually had that same character (yes the bald guy)). Whatever. What I am really interested in knowing is why my guy is pink for the reasons already stated. Again thanks for your help!
It might be that the bald guy material hasn’t been properly converted to URP. Did you start with a URP project or import URP into the project via the Package Manager?
It seems like sometimes it’s bugged and starts off using BiRP shaders.
Click on the blue button above the preview, select a different model then go back to the default, usually that helps
Or alternatively just select the final model to preview and it should look correct
Yes, thank you @CodeMonkey!!! Clicking on the blue button and then selecting Unity Model did the trick.
OMG! If only I had played the video just a little bit longer, rather than just stop, I would have seen that you addressed this issue right there in the video. So sorry but again thank you so much.
