Animating colors not adding material to keyframe section

Hi Everyone, I’ve just joined the course Blender Animation & Rigging: Bring Your Creations To Life.

Everything was going smoothly till I’ve hit the section animating colours, when i got to the shading tab and changed the colour on the BDSF section to red, i right clicked and choose insert keyframe like they did on the course but it didn’t add the material to the time like it did on the course.

Has anyone else had this error I can also see that they have more options on the BDSF. I’m using Blender 4.0. I’ll attach pictures below.

You need to have the principle BSDF selected to see it in the timeline/dopesheet. Another option is to click view menu and then uncheck “Only show selected”
